Baby Swim Tips

Babies like to swim too! Enjoy the water with your baby this summer. Splashing around with your baby is a great bonding experience.
  • Have the baby wear a swim diaper in the pool. The new Huggies swim diaper works great.
  • Do not use arm floats on your child. Arm floats makes it harder to learn how to swim.
  • With your baby in the water a fun thing to do is to make rain. Pick up water and drop it on eachother.
  • Teach your baby to move around in the water, but never let them go.
  • Blow bubbles together in the water
  • Depending on the child's age and how they progress in the water, start moving their arms and legs, as stroking or kicking movements.
  • Buy floating toys to play with in the pool. Be careful not to get anything that can choke the baby.
  • Make this time fun for you and your child.
